About Maharashtra eJournal

A law-report library for advocates practising in Maharashtra and throughout India

Maharashtra eJournal is a professional research portal devoted to reported and unreported judgements of Indian courts, with particular depth for work arising in the State of Maharashtra — the Bombay High Court at Mumbai, the benches at Nagpur and Aurangabad, and the district and sessions courts of the State.

The desk is designed for chambers, not for casual browsing. Parties, court title, date, headnote, and the full text sit in one archive so that an advocate can move from a remembered phrase, a citation, or a party name to the complete judgement without leaving the file.

Editorial purpose

We exist to shorten the time between instruction and authority. The collection is searchable as a lawyer searches: by the words of the court, by the headnote’s point of law, by the citation in the report, and by the particulars of the appeal.

What members may do

Professional use

The library is a research aid. It does not replace the official report, the certified copy, or the advice of counsel. Members should verify critical citations against the authorised source before they are placed in a pleading or opinion.
